The Department of Posts has started epost service in place of telegram service that has already gone down in the history.
This facility enables people to send any message to any person in any part of the nation instantly with a combination of electronic transmission and physical delivery through a network of more than 1,55,000 post offices. ePost sends messages as a soft copy through the internet and at the destination it will be delivered to the addressee in the form of hard copy. ePost costs just `10 per page.The facility is also available in 100 post offices in 14 districts of north Karnataka.
