Central Working Committee Meeting of AIRMS&MMSEU, Group-C, CHQ started in Puri, Odisha



The two days Central Working Committee Meeting of All India RMS and MMS Employees Union, Group-C, CHQ from 08.12.2013 to 09.12.2013 was started today with pomp and ceremony at Youth Hostel, Chakra Tirtha Road, Puri – 752 002, Odisha.
The meeting was commenced with the State  Song of Odisha “ Bande Utkala Janani……… followed my one minute silent prayer to all the departed souls including Nelson Mandela , the Gandhian Leader of Africa who breathed his last on 07.12.2013.
The CWC was arranged in a well organized manner  by Com. R N Dhal, Circle Secretary, AIRMS&MMSEU, Group-C Odisha Circle who introduced the guests.  Com. Banshidhar Mohanty, the nonagenarian veteran Trade Union Leader of Odisha  being the Chairman of the Reception Committee gave his eloquent welcome Speech with an appeal to all the employees of India Post to stay united to achieve the genuine demands not in favour of the postal employees only but for the common man of India in general.
Addressing the gathering Com. Bishnu Mohanty, General Secretary, CITU, Odisha State endorsed all the 15 point Charter of Demands for the proposed Indefinite Strike by the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees in near future and extended the support of his party for successful conductance of the Parliament March of 12th December, 2013.
Shri P K Bisoi, Hon’ble  Post Master General, Berhampur Region who remains always supportive to his staff members addressed the gathering as Chief Guest and suggested all the employees to be particular in discharging one’s duty.
Com. Giriraj Singh, General Secretary, AIRMS&MMSEU, Group-C, CHQ elaborated the neoliberal policies of the Govt. affecting not only to the employees but the common people of India at large. Describing the need of 7th CPC, he gave all the up to date information on cadre restructuring proposal actively under consideration by the Department. He stressed to stay united for the future struggle.
Com. P Suresh, General Secretary, R-IV, CHQ addressed the CWC narrating the difficulties arising out of implementation of MNOP and computerization.
Among others, the meeting was also addressed by the following leaders.

8.    Com. Nirmal Singh, Circle Secretary, AIPEU GDS (NFPE)
The meeting was attended by hundreds of delegate from all parts of India and Odisha. AIPEU, Group-C, Odisha Circle was represented by Com. B Samal , Asst. Circle Secretary and attended by Com. Daitary Mohapatra, Com. D R Mohanty and Com. N R Pattnaik from Bhubaneswar Division and Com. Bishnu Dash and Bimal Pr. Mohanty from Cuttack City Division, Com. P C Moharana from Koraput Division, Com. Dalai from Cuttack South Division and above all Com. Rajesh Bohidar from Puri Division who had taken all initiative for arrangement of the CWC at Youth Hostel, Puri. Com. Sudhir Ku. Swain Divnl. Secy. AIPEU, Postman and MTS and Com. Ghanashyama Panda, Divnl. Secretary, AIPEU, GDS (NFPE), Bhubaneswar Division also attended with their respective team members.
The Reception Committee had made nice arrangements in organizing the CWC.
