Sub:      Holding of Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for filling the posts of MTS for the vacancies (25 %) for the years 2009 to 2013 as per revised recruitment rules.

CO letter no. No. RE/30-13/2012 dtd 15^th October 2012 on the captioned subject is sent enclosed for information, guidance, necessary action and wide circulation among the staff. The Time schedule of the Departmental Examination for promotion to the cadre of MTS stated in the said CO letter dtd 15.10.2012 should be strictly adhered to. This may be widely circulated among the staff and Applications from willing & eligible candidates in the prescribed proforma should be forwarded so as to reach at this office as per the Time Schedule.

The heads of the unit/ Sub Division will scrutinize the applications received at their end as per Department of Posts Multi Tasking Staff Recruitment Rules, 2010 (circulated earlier with amendments) and forward to this office strictly as per the Time schedule of the Departmental Examination for promotion to the cadre of MTS stated in the said CO letter dtd 15.10.2012 along with list of candidates prepared in the prescribed proforma enclosed as Annexure-III. The name of the candidates should be furnished in proforma report in order of their seniority. At the end of list/ proforma report a summary should be drawn as follows:

(ii) Total no. of GDS applied for the examination.

(a)Total no. of GDS permitted to appear the examination

             (b)Total no. of GDS not permitted to appear the

          The contents of this letter may also please be circulated among all candidates on deputation to APS and applications received from them may be forwarded strictly as per the Time schedule of the Departmental Examination for promotion to the cadre of MTS.
