This year Dhanteras
will fall on 11.11.2012 which is a Sunday. ‘Dhanteras’ is an auspicious day for
buying gold. In this connection, I have been directed to say that there is a
business opportunity for us to generate revenue by keeping the Post Offices
open on Sunday 11.11.2012.
2. In
view of the above, Heads of Circles are requested to open such Post Offices
where they see the opportunity for revenue generation on Dhanteras, this
year.

This Year Dhanteras will fall on 11.11.2012 which is a
Sunday. “Dhanteras is an auspicious day for buying gold. There is a
business opportunity for us to generate revenue by keeping the Post Offices
open on Sunday 11.11.2012.
In this connection, I am directed to request you
to issue suitable instructions to Concerned Post offices of your
jurisdiction to open Post Offices for revenue generation on
Dhanteras, this year. The receipt of this letter may be acknowledged and
arrangement confirmed, if there is opportunity for revenue
generation on Dhanteras this year. The Directorate e-mail in this issue
is attached herewith.
