Subject: Provision of e VPP under EPP – reg.

This is regarding providing Cash - On - Delivery Services to various e Commerce companies. A number of references are received at this office regarding difficulties faced by the Circles in booking the VPP articles for amount above Rs.5000/- as the maximum value of single Money Order is Rs.5000/- only.

2.         Department has already made the provisions for e VPP wherein amount is collected and transferred through e payment facility. In order to have an instant solution, it is proposed that in future only e VPP should be booked for articles to be delivered through Post offices which have e payment facility.

3.         For articles to be delivered through other offices, a methodology is being worked out and instructions will be issued shortly.  Till the time booking of  VPs may be continued for such offices.
